For most of us, February means chocolate! Yet, eating a bunch of low-quality chocolate doesn’t always make us look or feel our best. When it’s not satisfying, it’s easy to keep reaching for more.
For this year’s chocolate-centered celebrations, try this dark chocolate collagen fudge instead. With nutrient-dense ingredients, including nut butter, cacao, and maple syrup, it’s sure to satisfy your sweet tooth without spiking cravings. The addition of Body Kitchen collagen supports healthy skin, hair, nails, joints, and digestion.
Top your fudge with cacao nibs, nuts (try pecans or pistachios), and fruit (try dried Gogi berries or dried blueberries) for extra minerals and antioxidants. This fudge makes a great gift, too, although you’ll want to keep it refrigerated.
In a saucepan over low-medium heat, add the coconut oil, cashew butter, coconut butter, cacao powder, maple syrup, and vanilla. Stir as it melts and mix well.
Once melted and well incorporated, take off the heat and stir in Body Kitchen Youthful Beauty Advanced collagen powder.
Pour the mixture into a parchment-lined dish, such as a 9-inch x 5-inch bread pan, or similar. Top with coarse sea salt, cacao nibs, or other desired toppings. Press toppings into fudge gently. Place in the freezer for 1 hour.
Slice the fudge into squares. Store leftovers in a covered container in the fridge.
